Atlanta Dream survive on the road, Angel Reese gets 26 rebounds

The late game was between the Atlanta Dream (24-13) and the Los Angeles Sparks (13-24). Over the first three and a half minutes in this one saw the Dream had a 6-5 lead. The Sparks had a lead for most of the first quarter after this, until the Dream went on an 8-2 run to take a 20-15 lead into the second quarter.


The Sparks had the game tied by the 9:13 mark in the second quarter. Then we saw the Sparks create a little six-point gap halfway through the quarter. The Dream made a last-second three to cut the Sparks' lead to 37-36. The third quarter started with the Dream taking a lead to them growing it to seven. The lead stayed between five and eight for the majority of the third quarter in favor of the Dream.

The fourth quarter saw the Dream grow their lead to 66-55 within the first minute. The Sparks outscored the Dream 16-12 for the rest of the quarter, but that deficit was too much for the Sparks, and the Dream won 78-71.


Allisha Gray led the scoring with 20 points and had six assists. Rhyne Howard had 18 points and six rebounds. The player who had the headlines was Angel Reese has she had 11 points and 26 rebounds. You do not see a player have 26 rebounds rarely ever in a professional basketball game. Next up for the Dream is hosting the Portland Fire on Friday night.


On the other side, Nneka Ogwumike led all scorers with 27 points and had 16 rebounds herself. Cameron Brink had 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while Dearica Hamby also had 15 points. Next up for the Sparks is hosting the Washington Mystics on Friday night.
