The first game of the day was the Las Vegas Aces at the Indiana Fever. The Aces started out looking like they would do exactly as they did in Game 1: win with ease. They outscored the Fever 26-18 in the first. The Fever got their poise back and took a 48-43 lead into the half.
The third quarter was similar to the second quarter. The Fever looked in control and outscored the Aces 24-17. The Fever confidently knew they had won this game in front of their fans. While they got outscored in the fourth quarter, it was only a two-point differential. The Fever won 99-89.

The second game of the night was between the Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty. The Lynx were on the brink of elimination coming in, and it really did not look like they cared. Obviously they did, but the Liberty were peaking at the right time.
The Liberty came out strong and led 26-21 at the end of the first quarter and led 49-37 at halftime. The gut punch of game one was something the Lynx was never able to recover from.
