Houston Dash Score 5, Racing Louisville Win Again, August 19th NWSL Recap
The first game was between Racing Louisville FC and Seattle Reign FC. Seattle started with more shots early and more chances in the box. In the 19th minute, Maddie Mercado started the scoring for Seattle. Anyone who watched this game would not have expected this to be their only goal, but it was. After that goal, Louisville started to gain confidence, and in the 35th minute, Emma Sears equalized for Louisville. Louisville had a few more shots in front of goal; the game was 1-1 at halftime.
In the 52nd minute, Emma Sears scored again and ended up being the game-winning goal. Both teams had multiple more chances, but no one else scored in this one. If you look just at the stats, you would have guessed Seattle would have won this, but no, they did not. Seattle had 32% more possession, 1.13 more EG, and almost 200 more accurate passes. This is just how Louisville plays, and they are good at the way they play.

The second game was between Chicago Stars FC and Houston Dash. The goals started quick in this one as the second shot of the game by the Dash went in. Kat Rader was the one that scored in the fifth minute. Both teams had multiple chances to score and then in the 42nd minute. Kat Rader gets her brace and doubles the lead for the Dash. Then right before the whistle blew for halftime, Linda Ullmark gives the Dash a 3-0 lead.
The Stars had some great opportunities to get back in the game until Kate Faasse gives the Dash their fourth goal. Then Lisa Boattin gives the Dash their fifth goal in the 92nd minute and the Dash won 5-0. That’s stats say Dash won this game and they easily did.

The next game will be on Friday night at 10 pm EST between the San Diego Wave FC and the Utah Royals FC.
